Download
To download Frustration, you have to use Sourceforge's
CVS. When you cvs up it, read the README file carefully
or talk to me.
Implemented features
- Written in real programming language
- Unlimited number of images and albums
- Supported formats: JPG, AVI (uncluding Canon's THM, which is thumbnail image for AVI and carries some EXIF information)
- Image upload: single image (HTTP POST), a zip archive of images
(HTTP POST), from an FTP/HTTP server, command line, perl script, scp, local import
- Image download: single image (every image is linked to an original file), entire album worth of images in a zip archive
- Each image can belong to 0, 1 or more albums
- Group operations: removing from album, adding to (existing or new) album(s), rotate, delete forever
- View images grouped by: albums, creation date, upload/import date
- Metadata stored in a mySQL database, image stored as file in the filesystem, easy to browse/back up
- Thumbnail generation and other operations totally asynchronous (you never have to wait for Frustration in frustration)
- Image autorotation according to EXIF
- Ability to post notes for every album
- Administrator features (optionally) password-protected
- Simple, easy to remember/email URLs for albums and images
- Random-looking URLs for every album if you want to share only it

Half-implemented/hidden features
These are either not entirely done, or available to admin only:
- Import from an FTP/HTTP server
- View images by number of views
- Vote for images and view them by average vote
Temporarily broken features
Features to be implemented soon
The list is, of course, by no means exhaustive.
- Automatically convert AVI to MPG to save space/bandwidth
- Search by EXIF fields
- Nested albums
